“It’s not too late for You(th)” is a project which aims to bring together youth centres and youth organizations from all around Europe, in order to foster cooperation in the youth field. Between 6 – 12 February 2010, Federatia YMCA Romania organized in Baia Mare, Romania, a study visit having as main theme Youth Centres as a priority for youth organizations as well as for authorities.
For seven days, 40 participants from 17 organizations in 15 countries (Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Italy, Malta, Spain, Portugal, France, Holland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Latvia, Poland) have shared experience on running youth centres and debated the need of youth organizations for having a space where to organize permanent activities for young people and members of the community.
The project has been funded with support from the European Commission through the Youth in Action Programme.
Why this website?
The study visit was the first step. Because we all share common values and we live in a multicultural Europe which comes closer each day we want to maintain our collaboration. We want to share information, materials, tools, ideas, good-practices and values which will be made available to everyone on the world wide web.
The aim is to facilitate the access to youth centers through sharing links to the websites, posting contact details and updating about events that are happening all around Europe. Thus, we invite all youth centers from all Europe to join this website and make their activities known.
